Terre des hommes Germany is a children's Aid Agency. It has been supporting projects and programmes for promotion and protection of 'children's rights" with partner organizations in different parts of the country.
Terre des homes tries to follow a child rights based approach which includes promoting and facilitating children's rights to participation. Children’s organizations have been initiated in different partner locations. These children from the children's organisations were engaged in various activities, for instance promoting enrolment of children in the schools, convincing parents against sending children to employment and sometimes even on child marriage. Another set of initiatives these children were involved were with regard to environmental issues. Starting from simple concerns of hygiene and health some of them have started campaigns against plastics, pollution, chemical farming, destruction of environment due to deforestation, mining and so on.
